Day 22: No meat today.
Today try to avoid meat. Lenten practices of old (especially in the Catholic Church) featured fasting and the normal practice was no meat on Fridays. Did you know that McDonald’s Filet of Fish came from accommodating that practice for their Catholic customers in the 60s.
The benefit of fasting can be good for your health, but the focus shouldn’t be just the abstinence from a particular food, but a focus on God.
So today, even though it is only one day, try to abstain from meat.
