Day 13: Attend our Neighborhood Dinner and sit with a guest.
Every month on the third Wednesday, our church has a Neighborhood Dinner. This dinner serves a meal to “our neighbors,” the people living around us. Some come for a much-needed meal and some come for the fellowship but our neighbors and our congregation always enjoy it.
For the month of March, the menu is stuffed baked potatoes, salad and dessert. Come out and enjoy the company of our neighbors and while you’re here, sit with someone that you don’t know and get to know them better.
If you don’t live in Tahlequah, then you can modify this days task to finding an equivalent closer to you. Does your church serve a meal to the local hungry and their neighbors? Attend that instead. If they don’t, maybe suggest something similar. Look around your community and find a similar program. I’m sure one exists at one of the local churches or organizations.
